★ What kind of material can be used to process? What is the requirement of material and moisture content?

More than 10 types of seeds such as peanuts, rapeseeds, sesame, copra, cottonseeds, hazelnut, linseed, oil palm kernel, pumpkin seed, sun flower seeds, walnuts can be processed by our hand oil press. More types are to be developed. The oil content should above 25% and moisture content is around 8%.

★ Does the seeds need pre-processing such as roasting or drying?

No. Most of the seeds can be expelled directly without any pre-treatment.

★ Is the oil edible directly?

Yes. But a 12h deposition is recommended.

★ How many people are required to operate this hand oil press?

One people can operate.

★ Does the hand operated oil press need to be heated?

Yes, it does. Preheat for 10 minutes before feeding seeds.

★ Why the oil cake is watery?

Wet Oil cake means higher oil content. Screw the end adjustment bolt backward properly to narrow the outlet (the bolt should block part of the hole) and increase pressure to improve oil efficiency.

★ Why can I produce only little oil?

There are two causes:
① Oil outlet is blocked.
② Oil seeds with high oil content or the seed size is small.
Solutions:
① Clean the blockage in the oil outlet hole with a knife;
② Adjust the rotation speed to 45r/min or slower.

★ Why does oil flow out from oil residue outlet?

At the beginning of the operation, seeds fed into press cage are not compressed tightly, and there is not enough pressure in the press cage, so it is normal that some oil flows out from residue outlet.

★ Why the adjustment bolt doesn’t screw into the cap of the press cage?

This is mainly because the internal screw thread of the cap or external screw thread of the bolt is not clean. Clean with hot water, then screw again.

★ Why does the handle suddenly be turned easily?

It is because there is no feed in the feeding inlet, no material in feed hopper or the oil seeds are bridge. Solve this problem by stirring seeds with a clean stick.

★ Why is there no oil production from the seed?

① The seed is too dry.
② The seed is too wet
③ The oil content is lower than 25%.
④ The press is preheated insufficiently.

★ What is the best way to clean manual hand oil press?

Unscrew the cap from the press and remove the expeller screw and the wear washer at the end of the shaft of the expeller screw. Clean the inside of the press with paper towels. A bottle brush can be a very useful tool as well! Leave some oil in the press and on the expeller screw to prevent corrosion.

★ Can the pressed oil be used in the burner?

The pressed oil cannot be used, as it is too thick to be transported through the wick. Furthermore the pressed oil will cause more soot, furthermore the flame will provide insufficient heat.

★ Oil contains too much oil residue.

① Oil residue outlet is too small, enlarge it by unscrewing the bolt;
② Oil seeds are too wet, dry it in the sun.

★ Can your hand oil press machine color be customized?
